does Buni not resemble an Angora rabbit? The new Mom, Olivia is very proud of her new offspring.
After the newborn was cleaned up Olivia allowed visitors. They were very curious to see the new one.
That is Olivia looking at the camera, very proud to show off her beautiful baby. Olivia is La Mancha/Saanen X and the Father is Nubian. Buni got the Nubian roman nose and a bit more ear than her Mother. A very thick wooly coat too.
We have a couple of lambs with LaMancha ears but they were froze off.
ReplyDeleteI always had Nubians so this earless thing took me a bit to get used to. But Olivia is a really nice goat. Walter the wether came with her, it was a package deal. He's hard to deal with as he escapes any enclosure and ignores dogs trying to work him. He's also a pig and eats all the food. But he's extremely social and loving so its hard to stay mad at him.
