Nothing really new or exciting here. Been extremely busy at work though. More dogs than we can handle almost and my shelves are bare from selling so much dog food! The feed store many people go to for their dog food was closed because the owners went on vacation so their customers came here. I'm hoping some will continue to come to me.
Going to a workshop at Vergil Holland's for the weekend. I'm really looking forward to that! Crue will have a very educational two days, me too.
I bought a push weedwhacker and took down some of the tall weeds that cover my property. I can be so stubborn at times and impulsive, but I whacked through some of the poison ivy (on purpose) that lines the fenceline. Of course I broke out..duh. Funny thing is it isn't really bothering me all that much even though I got quite a bit of it. Stupid thing is I can just see myself doing it again. I want it out of there!
Been having a lot of thunderstorms in the past week. It was dry for a long time (a few weeks) then we got some rain and everything exploded again. I swear the lawn grew 10 inches overnight after that rain. The dogs don't seem too bothered. Just Meg and Seth, but at least they don't get crazy scared. They just like to go hide out until its over. The other 3 will stand out in booming thunder and pouring rain waiting hopefully for me to throw the ball.
I always wondered if people thought I was a bit off when I'd yell out the door for the dogs during a rain storm..Reign, Reign!!

what's with towels?
Crue has a towel fetish. He has been obsessed with towels since he was a little pup. We have a lot of towels at the groom shop and he always goes and finds one somewhere and carries it around or piles them up. He never chews on them. We were in the office not paying attention to what he was doing and when we went out we found this.
I guess he likes to chew his elk antlers on a towel.
Or under a towel.

boredom
Not much going on this week. After the holidays business is slow. Still haven't had the money to complete my house so we still aren't living there yet. Chickens are still in the basement. After breaking my lawnmower, well the blade anyway, on something, I bought a push weedwacker and did get a lot of the brush down, but it was really hot and I ran out of energy. We haven't had any rain in a couple weeks and everything is dying off. We had an abundance of clover just a few weeks ago, but its all dead and dry now. Jenna is an expert at finding four leaf clovers and she found plenty on our land. She also found this one. Bad picture taken with my crappy old phone, but its a 5 leaf clover. So I'm thinking its past time for the luck on my house progress to kick in.
Have to include a dog picture. Isn't this a really handsome dog?
Anyway, back to my boredom.
