Snow and House

We're in the middle of a winter storm. We've had rain, snow and sleet. I took a picture of my shop sign. I think it looks very wintery with the snow sitting on top of the letters.

We went to my house tonight to tear up the floors. All billion layers of them. Instead of fixing the deteriorating floors all the previous owners had just added another layer. I took some pictures of some of the mess.

Here is a pic of the outside. Carl is going to tear down that make shift room on the front porch and wall in the whole porch and make me a mud room. Part of it will be a walk in closet for my bedroom.

Not much more to see right now. I'll post some more once we start getting some of the inside done. It will be awhile since we are all limited on free time. I did take the dogs out to the house to run the other night after work and they loved their new home. They wanted to stay. Guess I'll have to get a couple lgds as the  previous owner said one night when he came down the road on the property he ran into a mother bear and her cub. The guy that was living in the house told me one time he had 87 goats on that property. I just want a few sheep...

The escrow from Hell finally closed

We've been in escrow for a long time now. Its finally over! The hoops we had to jump through were ridiculous. It wasn't on our side unfortunately it was on the sellers side. We actually went in while they were still living there and installed baseboard heaters and re-floored the kitchen so it would pass the appraisal. Of course the day escrow closed we went in and tore it all back out!  Now the place is completely gutted and my son-in-law is going to rebuild it from the inside out. By the time he, his Dad and my kids and I are all done I will have a brand new house. The land is beautiful and everyone who has been there have all commented on how nice the land is. Best of all, no neighbors! No traffic, the road deadends at my property and I am surrounded by woods and a golf course. As soon as I can I will post some pictures. Weather is too bad today. The dogs haven't seen it yet, but I plan on taking them out to run tomorrow.

Looks can be deceiving

Simba is 6 mos old and oh so innocent looking. But I think Simba rules the roost at his house. He didn't like to be groomed. He didn't like to be bathed. He hated the dryer. And most of all he hated being in a crate. I even tried the big crate out in the center of activity. Nope. So I finally just let him out to run around the shop. He was a perfect puppy. He even just laid down and slept. He got his own way. Do not let these cute adorable eyes deceive you. There is a very stubborn headstrong dog in that cute face.

cold and lonely

It's been very cold here lately. Not above freezing for at least a week. Snow today. So, not many customers. My truck is not running now so I'm driving the Camaro. I'm going to be selling it soon since I don't drive it much and its a gas hog. Plus its money to help redo my new house, which is going to be rebuilt from the inside out thanks to my wonderful son in law. Anyway with no truck I can't take the dogs to work with me so here I sit just me, the Poodle and Kitty. I miss my border collies.
