New look

We finally got the outside of the building painted. Its not the best job, but Jill and I aren't professional painters and it was HOT outside that day! It is definitely 100% better anyway! Now maybe my customers won't walk in with that apprehensive look on their faces. Once they get in the door you can see them let out a sigh of relief that the inside of my store doesn't look as bad as the outside. So without further ado, here is the new and improved "It's A Dog's Lyfe!"

Unfortunately I have no control over the roof and the roofers haven't been back to finish the job for months.

Puppy Breath (almost)

I have a new puppy coming. He's on his way across the country right now. He will hopefully be my next trial dog. I will be picking him up at the Bluegrass trial in May. We've named him "Crue" as in Motley Crue. Only he is Muttley Crue. I will post more on him after I've met him and he's moved in with us. I printed some pics of him and showed it to the other dogs and told them he's coming to live with us. They looked at the picture and shrugged and walked away. They see so many dogs coming into the shop they don't pay much attention. I'm sure they'll ask me why this one isn't going home though.

Not much going on today. Sunday we went shopping and on the way I commented on what a nice day it was. The trees are greening up, we had mowed the jungle (lawn) and the flowers were blooming. The temperature was nice. Not too hot, not too cold. Just a beautiful day. I felt that spring had finally arrived. Then yesterday it got colder and colder and the wind came up and this morning we got snow. The snow is all gone but its still cold and yucky. So is that it? I get one day of spring this year?

I felt really bad for "Faddy." He came in on Saturday to get his annual hair cut. He's probably about 110lbs. He lives up to his name, but he's a big boy anyway. I forgot to take a before picture till I was already partway into clipping him. I had to take him very short to get under the dirty thick mat of hair. Such a nice boy, but I'll sure bet he's cold today!
